Format
Whisky Week works with bars and brands to create a programme of exclusive drams, tastings and tours available to exclusively to attendees.
Attendees purchase a wristband which comes with a printed guidebook. The wristband is used to unlock access to special whisky menus in every venue and the guidebook includes the menus, a venue map and space to jot down your own tasting notes.
Instead of being focused on just tasting whiskies under one roof – which other festivals already do brilliantly – we want to focus on what we love about Whisky: visiting new bars, hearing stories and sampling our national drink in unique ways.
Facts
Founded in 2024 when Charlie Bain of Slanjj and Gregor Sey of Aberdeen Cocktail Week joined forces.
There are no fees for venues to get involved and venues are provided with everything they need to make it a success from printed marketing materials, to social media support and complimentary wristbands for their team to explore the wider offering.
Whisky Week has already facilitated 4000 bar visits to their participating venues and has a goal to surpass 50,000 in 2025.
