In short, that’s the whole plan, and we think it’s a pretty good one. Whisky Week is Scotland’s city-wide whisky festival, coming to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow in 2026. Sample exceptional drams in some of the finest and most characterful whisky bars in the country, with a crowd of people who love whisky as much as you do.

A whisky festival that puts the bars first.
We wanted to change that. So instead of one big room with lots of stands, we turned the whole city into the festival.
Each participating bar becomes a dedicated outpost for a celebrated distillery or brand, with a curated menu of between one and four drams. Your Whisky Week wristband unlocks access to all of them, spend the week moving between venues at your own pace, in whatever order takes your fancy.

When you buy your Whisky Week ticket, you’ll collect your wristband and printed pocket guidebook from one of our collection points throughout the city. Inside the guide: a venue map, every whisky on offer across the city, and space to jot down your tasting notes as you go. Think of it as your whisky passport come tasting notes journal to the week.
Beyond the bar trail, Whisky Week fills out with expert-led city tours, guided tastings, and whisky-inspired collaborations with local businesses food pairings, drinks workshops, and experiences that show just how versatile whisky can be when you take it out of the glass cabinet and into the city.
Whether you’re a first-time explorer or a seasoned connoisseur, there’s no wrong way to do Whisky Week. Come for one night, or make it your whole week. The festival is designed to fit around you.

Whisky Week exists to bring people together around Scotland’s greatest export in the bars that love it most, with a community that spans every level of experience and enthusiasm. We’re not interested in exclusivity or pretension. We’re interested in great drams, great spaces, and the kind of conversations that only happen when both are in the room.
